Job Description: We are seeking a proficient MS-SQL Server Migration and Modernization Engineer having 4+ years of experience in IT Industry with minimum 2+ years active exposure of Oracle DB Migration in cloud with expertise in SQL Server, open-source databases, Azure Data Factory, and heterogeneous database migrations. In this role, you will be pivotal in migrating SQL Server databases to cloud platforms, integrating with open-source databases, and leveraging Azure Data Factory for seamless data movement. Responsibilities: Perform the migration of on-premises SQL Server databases to cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). Design and implement data migration strategies for heterogeneous database environments. Implement security best practices for cloud-based databases. Develop automation scripts and tools for database migration and monitoring. Implement open-source database solutions where applicable (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB). Utilize Azure Data Factory for efficient and scalable data movement and transformation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SQL Server, open-source databases, and Azure Data Factory. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Proven experience in migrating SQL Server databases to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). Strong proficiency in SQL Server administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with cloud services such as Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS, or Google Cloud SQL. Familiarity with open-source databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB. Familiarity with Azure Data Factory for data integration, transformation, and orchestration. Knowledge of heterogeneous database migration challenges and solutions. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Certifications in SQL Server and cloud platforms are a plus.
