Cloud Java Developer

About Position:

This position is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing highly scalable, distributed data applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch. The role demands strong expertise in microservice architecture, eventdriven systems, and building robust, highthroughput backend solutions. The engineer will contribute heavily to building data processing pipelines, batch jobs, and real-time streaming solutions using Kafka. The position involves developing and integrating REST APIs / SOAP services, working with complex data models, and ensuring high performance and security.

What You'll Do:

• Application & Backend Development
• Design and develop highly scalable, highperformance data applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch.
• Build and maintain microservices with strong focus on concurrency, threadsafety, and efficient data processing.
• Create and enhance REST APIs and integrate with SOAP services where required.
• Data Processing & Batch Solutions
• Develop largescale batch processing jobs using Spring Batch for complex, highvolume data pipelines.
• Implement robust multi-threading, parallel processing, and optimized I/O for dataintensive workloads.
• Cloud & DevOps
• Build, deploy, and optimize applications on Azure (preferred) and other cloud environments (AWS/GCP).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, and automated testing frameworks.
• Ensure code quality and security by integrating tools like SonarQube and vulnerability checks.
• Messaging & Event Streaming
• Build Kafka-based streaming pipelines with strong command over topics, partitions, consumer groups, offsets, and event-driven microservices.
• Database & Data Warehousing
• Write optimized SQL and work with relational databases for high-volume transactional or analytical systems.
• Contribute to data warehouse / data mart projects, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
• Observability & Monitoring
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Splunk, Grafana, or Kibana for production-grade reliability.
• Containerization & Infra
• Use Docker & Kubernetes for containerized deployment of microservices.
• Implement IaC (Infrastructure-as-Code) using Terraform, frontend.
• Build or support front-end modules using React, ensuring smooth integration with backend APIs.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Core Technical Expertise
• Strong command of Java 8+, J2EE, Collections, Streams, concurrency, I/O, and functional programming.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring MVC, and microservice architecture.
• Deep understanding of Kafka, event-driven architecture, and real-time data streaming.
• Data & Cloud Skills
• High proficiency in SQL, database optimization, and data modelling.
• Experience on Azure clouddeployments, services, messaging, storage, and monitoring.
• DevOps & Quality Engineering
• Strong experience with JUnit/TestNG, mocking frameworks, and TDD.
• Skilled with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Jenkins, Sonar, build automation, and secure software delivery.
• Scalability & Distributed Systems
• Expertise building distributed, resilient, and scalable applications for high throughput and low latency.
• Familiar with caching, asynchronous messaging, load balancing, and faulttolerant system design.
• Additional Strengths
• Experience with observability tools like Splunk, Grafana, Kibana.
• Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem, Unix/Linux, and scripting.
• Good understanding of AEP/AJO (if applicable to project).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
