Cloud Developer | Cloud-Native & Azure

We are looking for a skilled Cloud Developer to join a growing technology team working on modern, cloud-native SaaS solutions within a regulated environment.

This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure, backend development, and cloud-native architectures who enjoys building scalable, secure, and high-availability applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure
• Build and maintain server-side logic and RESTful APIs
• Implement business logic using C# and object-oriented principles
• Support database design, optimisation, and query development (SQL & NoSQL)
• Develop and deploy microservices, serverless functions, and containerised solutions
• Optimise applications for performance, scalability, and security
• Collaborate closely with engineering, QA, and product teams
• Contribute to SaaS product development following Agile methodologies
• Perform testing, debugging, and continuous improvement of backend services

Required Skills & Experience

• 27 years experience in cloud software development
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services
• Hands-on experience with C#, backend development, and OOP
• Experience building cloud-native, microservices-based applications
• Knowledge of REST APIs and backend web development principles
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with containerisation and modern cloud frameworks
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have

• Experience working on SaaS products
• Exposure to Agile development environments
• Understanding of performance optimisation and security best practices

Education

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a STEM-related field
