Cloud Infrastructure / Site Reliability Engineer (IaaS) - Azure

Location: Bangalore | Full-time

Hybrid Working: 2 to 3 days onsite per week.

Salary: 4million - 5.5 million Indian Rupees (INR) / 30 - 55 lakh

Were supporting a global engineering organisation that is investing heavily in its cloud platform and infrastructure capabilities. Theyre now looking for an Azure Cloud Infrastructure / IaaS Engineer to join a distributed reliability engineering team responsible for designing, operating and improving critical cloud services.

The Role

Youll operate as part of an international reliability engineering group, helping build and maintain the infrastructure that underpins large-scale applications and internal platforms.

This role blends infrastructure engineering with software-driven automation, meaning youll spend time both improving systems and building tooling to automate operational workflows.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with software engineering teams to design and improve Azure (Primary) and AWS cloud-based infrastructure
• Automating deployment and configuration processes using Infrastructure as Code
• Implementing monitoring, alerting and observability across critical services
• Troubleshooting complex production incidents and participating in root cause analysis
• Improving system reliability through capacity planning, performance tuning and operational automation
• Defining service level objectives and reliability metrics for platform services
• Supporting on-call rotations for production infrastructure
• Contributing to architecture reviews and infrastructure design discussions

• Microsoft Azure (core infrastructure services)
• Virtual Machines, load balancers, storage, backup and recovery services
• Disaster recovery tooling and automated backup systems

Infrastructure as Code & DevOps

• Terraform
• Azure DevOps pipelines
• Infrastructure automation frameworks

Containers & Platform Engineering

• Kubernetes environments including AKS and EKS
• Docker containerisation

Observability & Monitoring

• Prometheus
• Grafana
• Elastic stack
• Moogsoft

Security & Networking

• Next-generation network security tooling
• Palo Alto security platforms
• Aqua security solutions
• Cloud networking and traffic management

Technical Skills Were Looking For

Were interested in engineers who combine strong systems knowledge with cloud automation experience. Key areas of expertise include:

Cloud Infrastructure

• Hands-on experience managing Azure infrastructure services
• Experience working with virtual machines, load balancers, backup and restore systems
• Knowledge of patching, vulnerability remediation and infrastructure security practices

Systems Engineering

• Strong troubleshooting capability across Linux and Windows operating systems
• Deep understanding of operating system behaviour and performance diagnostics

Infrastructure Automation

• Experience provisioning and managing infrastructure using Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tooling
• Ability to write scripts and automation tools using languages such as Python or PowerShell

Cloud Networking & Security

• Familiarity with cloud networking architecture and security controls
• Exposure to enterprise-grade security platforms and monitoring frameworks
