Cloud Delivery Engineer

Responsibilities and duties:

• Operate as part of an overall implementation team to implement Calix Cloud SaaS solutions requiring custom input data
• Design data import and ETL processes based on customer-provided data sets and Calix Cloud data input requirements
• Validate and troubleshoot data transformation and loading into SQL and noSQL databases
• Document findings, test results, and as-built configurations for review by the implementation team and customer
• Responds to requests for assistance, perform triage, prioritize, and escalate appropriately
• Collaborate with customers to understand and document their business and technical requirements
• Use of regular expressions to search and extract text-based data
• Querying SQL databases or modifying SQL statements to produce custom results

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Cloud based applications and complex data integration.
• Knowledge of common database management tools.
• Knowledge of REST/JSON API methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to provide updates, explain data, and document findings.
• Strong analysis, organizational skills, ability to work independently, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excels at learning quickly and adapting to change.
• A proven track record providing a high level of technical or project support.
• Proficient with Microsoft Visio, Word and Excel.
• Written and verbal communication skills sufficient to provide updates, explain data, and document findings.
• Resourceful disposition, able to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with BSS/OSS enterprise architectures, preferably Telecom or MSO, including demonstrated end-to-end solution architecture design and delivery.
• Familiarity with the Calix product portfolio or similar telecom technologies a plus, including FTTx, xDSL, IP, voice, etc.
• Experience with REST/JSON tools such as Postman, cURL and relevant programming language libraries like requests and httplib.
• Knowledge of a scripting language such as Python, Perl or Java.
• Familiarity with Service Provider networking technologies including Netflow/IPFIX, TR-69, DHCP/Option-82, GPON, and DSL is desired.
• Experience with BSS/OSS enterprise architectures, preferably Telecom or MSO, including demonstrated end-to-end solution architecture design and delivery.
• Experience operating as part of an Agile/Scrum team.
• Experience with Salesforce, TaskRay, JIRA, Confluence, MS Teams.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science/engineering or related fields.
