Cloud Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Engineer with a strong technology background and hands-on expertise in enterprise data platforms . The role involves designing, building, and enhancing data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts for large-scale financial services environments . You will collaborate closely with business and technology leaders to deliver high-impact data solutions across on-prem and AWS cloud environments , leveraging the modern data stack including Snowflake and Starburst .

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage data integration and data analysis across multiple source systems
• Translate business requirements and functional specifications into technical designs and implementation plans
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to process large volumes of structured and unstructured data into AWS data lakes and data warehouses
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create prototypes, design artifacts, and reusable components
• Support SIT/UAT testing , defect triage, and issue resolution
• Optimize and fine-tune data pipelines and Spark jobs for performance and scalability
• Implement data quality, validation, and integrity checks
• Provide advanced data analysis and problem-solving to support BI and analytics integration
• Convert data integration models and design specifications into high-quality source code
• Ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of enterprise data integration systems

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering , or a related field (or equivalent)
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer building large-scale data pipelines
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica ETL
• 5+ years of strong experience with AWS services , including:
• Glue, Redshift, EMR, RDS, Kinesis, S3, Athena, DynamoDB, Step Functions, Lambda
• Strong programming skills in Python , HiveQL , and experience with Spark / Scala
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL design, and database architecture
• Experience with data lakes, data warehouses, and distributed computing systems
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and tune data pipelines and Spark workloads
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Snowflake Data Platform
• Exposure to Data Virtualization tools such as Starburst or Denodo
• Experience in financial services or banking domains
• AWS Data-related certifications
• Prior or advanced experience with Informatica
