Cloud Backend Engineer (Azure) AI-Assisted Development (Claude Code + Copilot)

XOGO is entering a new phase of growth, and were expanding our cloud engineering team with someone who loves solving complex problems in Azure and building clean, scalable backends.

This role joins a strong, experienced team and will collaborate closely with senior engineers in the US, India, Ecuador, and Mexico. Its a hands-on position with room to contribute architectural guidance as we continue to scale and we build fast usingAI-assisted development (Claude Code as the primary driver, GitHub Copilot as a helper), with you owning the final quality through strong code review and refactoring.

• Collaborate with senior engineers to refine and optimize ourAzure SQL architecture (performance, maturity, and cost control).
• Strengthen and modernize ourAzure App Services andPaaS-first environment.
• Improve performance and design clarity in ourinternal APIs , and contribute to futureexternal developer APIs .
• Enhance ourSignalR real-time infrastructure powering thousands of devices.
• UseClaude Code + Copilot to accelerate delivery, thenreview, harden, and refactor AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Contribute toAI/ML integrations (Azure + Foundry).
• Supportmulti-region planning andEU data residency readiness (GDPR / EU Data Act considerations).
• Bring DevOps awareness toCI/CD, observability, reliability, and cost optimization .
• Work with ourStripe subscription backend as we upgrade billing architecture (monthly/yearly plans, in-app purchases, and more flexible payment flows).

• Strong experience withAzure architecture ,SQL tuning ,API optimization , anddistributed PaaS design.
• A stronghands-on coder and code reviewer you can guide AI output and quickly spot issues (edge cases, security pitfalls, performance traps, architecture drift) and turn it into production-quality code.
• Comfortable partnering with other senior engineers you collaborate, share ideas, and elevate the whole team.
• You think in terms ofefficiency before scale and enjoy simplifying complex cloud systems.
• Youve refactored or shaped cloud platforms before in aSaaS or IoT-like environment.
• Bonus: experience with or strong interest inStripe subscriptions (Prices, Subscriptions, Customers, webhooks).
• Familiar with designing forregional data residency and compliance expectations.

• Work shoulder-to-shoulder with a capable engineering team building a global digital signage platform.
• Help shape the next evolution of XOGOs cloud with room to lead initiatives without owning everything.
• Fully remote to start ; India candidates will transition tohybrid in our upcomingKochi office .
