Skills Required - AWS Glue, AWS IAM, CloudWatch, S3, Athena, Redshift, ETL Concepts, Python, Pyspark.

Role& Responsibilities

Usage Profile Management :

• Create and manage AWS Glue usage profiles to control job and session parameters like:
• Number of workers
• Worker types
• Job timeout and idle timeout values
• Set default, minimum, and maximum values to enforce resource usage policies

Access and Permissions :

• Define and manage IAM roles and policies for Glue users.
• Ensure secure access to data sources, Glue jobs, and the Data Catalog.

Cost and Resource Optimization :

• Monitor Glue job usage and optimize configurations to minimize costs .
• Use usage profiles and job metrics to prevent over-provisioning.

Governance and Compliance :

• Ensure Glue jobs and data pipelines comply with organizational policies .
• Implement tagging strategies for cost tracking and auditing.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting :

• Use AWS CloudWatch and Glue logs to monitor job performance.
• Troubleshoot failed jobs and resolve configuration or permission issues.

Collaboration and Support :

• Work with data engineers and analysts to ensure smooth operation of ETL pipelines.
• Provide support for job scheduling, debugging, and performance tuning.
