Role : Azure Administrator

Required Technical Skill Set : Azure Administrator

Desired Experience Range : 46 years (minimum 3 years hands-on in Azure)

Location of Requirement : Pune

Desired Competencies (Technical Competency)

Must-Have

Azure Administration:

• Virtual Machines, Availability Sets, Azure Backup, Storage Accounts
• RBAC, Managed Identities, Conditional Access

Azure Networking (Deep Knowledge):

• VNet, Subnetting, Peering, User-Defined Routes
• NSGs, ASGs, Azure Firewall
• VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Application Gateway, Load Balancer
• Knowledge of hybrid connectivity (Site-to-Site VPN)

Monitoring & Operations:

• Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Alerts
• Troubleshooting connectivity and performance issues

Automation:

• Azure CLI / PowerShell basics
• Familiarity with ARM templates for deployments

Good-to-Have

Preferred Certifications:

• Azure Administrator (AZ-104)

Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700)

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

Manage day-to-day Azure infrastructure operations including VMs, storage, and networking resources .

Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Azure VNets, Subnets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Load Balancers, VPN Gateways, and ExpressRoute .

Perform identity and access management using Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, and Conditional Access policies.

Maintain monitoring, alerting, and log analytics to ensure proactive issue detection and resolution.

Support patch management, backup & disaster recovery configuration for critical workloads.

Implement cost optimization techniques (right-sizing VMs, reserved instances, storage lifecycle policies).

Assist in incident resolution, root cause analysis, and problem management as L2 support.

Collaborate with Azure Architects and DevOps teams to implement changes and follow governance.

Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and update runbooks for common tasks.

Stay updated with Azure networking enhancements and adopt best practices for performance and security.
