Job Description
The Asset Management team in Powai provides support to global Nomura Asset Management (NAM) offices in various business areas. The team supports the below key functions from Powai.
- Fund Accounting (Reconciliations, Cash management., Corporate Actions, Client Reporting)
- Performance Reporting and Attribution Analysis
- Finance and Treasury Operations (P&L Reporting, Management fee calculations, Invoicing)
- Compliance monitoring
- Information Technology

Role & Responsibilities of the position in brief:
The team is looking for an individual to manage and own the end-to-end client reporting process from the point at which new requests are received, through implementation and delivery to the client. This is an extension to the existing model we have with the Powai team, whereby currently new reporting requirements are defined and implemented via the London client team prior to handover of the production and delivery elements to Powai. The individual in this role would be expected to take ownership of understanding the reporting requirements at outset, sourcing and defining with internal stakeholders how a solution will be implemented, documenting the procedures for doing so and then releasing the process into production with the Powai team. The individual will be required to demonstrate initiative and proactivity to manage and co-ordinate reporting requests, to have an understanding of the quantitative and qualitative data/information which feeds into these reports as well as some knowledge of the products within which our clients are invested. Key skills required would be:
- Demonstrated experience in managing reporting from cradle to grave
- Ability to work across different entities and teams to understand client reporting requirements, set reporting up via communication with colleagues, and manage reporting through its lifecycle
- Ability to delegate to junior team members
- Ability to communicate complex reporting requirements with colleagues
- Ability to write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new and developing reporting
- Broad industry, asset and technical knowledge
- Demonstrated experience in automating processes a bonus
- Comfortable under pressure and working to tight deadlines
- Proactive can do attitude and ability to contribute to long-term strategic objectives
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong verbal and written communication
