Job Description

Role Purpose

The Circle Business Head (CBH) is responsible for leading end-to-end business operations for a defined circle, ensuring profitable growth, superior guest experience, and strong team capability. Acting as an SBU head for the circle, the role owns execution of the annual business plan, drives top-line and bottom-line performance, and ensures adherence to brand and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Excellence & Guest Experience

  • Champion brand values and hospitality standards across all restaurants in the circle
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety, hygiene, sanitation, and statutory compliance
  • Drive consistent and superior guest experience; resolve escalations sustainably
  • Coach and empower teams to handle guest concerns effectively

2. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Drive same-store sales growth and new store ramp-up
  • Execute national and local marketing initiatives; provide regional inputs for promotions
  • Lead successful execution of new product launches
  • Track market trends and competition to identify growth opportunities

3. Profitability & Cost Management

  • Own circle P&L with close monitoring of all cost lines
  • Review restaurant-wise performance against annual operating plan
  • Conduct gap analysis and drive corrective actions with reporting managers
  • Enable restaurants to achieve profitability and incentive targets

4. Talent Development & Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing leadership team
  • Ensure fair, respectful, and inclusive people practices
  • Drive training, performance management, and succession planning
  • Communicate goals, results, and expectations clearly and consistently

5. Network Expansion & New Store Growth

  • Identify and evaluate new locations aligned with business strategy
  • Own new store opening plans, operating timelines, and CAPEX proposals
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for smooth store launches
  • Track competition and local dynamics in new and existing markets

6. Planning, Collaboration & Agility

  • Work closely with support functions (Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Marketing, etc.)
  • Translate business plans into clear action plans for teams
  • Demonstrate agility in problem-solving and decision-making
  • Adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities
