Job Description
Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Kotak Alternate Asset Managers Limited
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology roadmap aligned with KAAMLs business strategy.
- Identify and prioritize technology investments that enhance operational efficiency, AUM scalability, and client experience.
- Communicate the firms technology vision effectively across leadership and key stakeholders.
2. Digital Transformation & Innovation
- Lead digital modernization initiatives spanning cloud adoption, AI/MLdriven analytics, workflow automation, and digital product development.
- Evaluate emerging technologies relevant to private markets, asset servicing, risk analytics, data pipelines, and investor reporting.
- Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement within technology teams.
3. Technology Operations & Infrastructure
- Oversee systems architecture, infrastructure modernization, network management, and scalability of platforms supporting investment, risk, and finance functions.
- Ensure high availability, cybersecurity resilience, and compliance with regulatory technology standards across all platforms.
- Implement robust disaster recovery (DR), business continuity (BCP), and dataprotection frameworks.
4. Product Engineering & Development Governance
- Lead endtoend development lifecycle for internal platforms including portfolio management systems, credit/real estate evaluation platforms, and investor lifecycle digital tools.
- Establish modern engineering standards, Agile practices, project governance, QA processes, and DevOps frameworks.
5. Risk, Compliance & Cyber Security
- Build and maintain secure, compliant technology environments aligned with RBI, SEBI, and internal governance requirements.
- Implement robust identity management, cybersecurity protocols, and enterprise risk controls.
- Ensure timely technology audits and compliance reporting.
6. Talent Leadership & Vendor Management
- Lead and mentor engineering, IT operations, cyber security, and data teams; build a strong, futureready tech talent pipeline.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, fintech partners, and enterprise system providersensuring performance, SLAs, and cost efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- 1525+ years of technology leadership experience, preferably from Private Equity, Asset Management or Wealth Management domain.
- Deep expertise in cloud architecture, enterprise infrastructure, cyber security, and largescale system designskills aligned with modern CTO requirements.
- Strong understanding of private markets investment processes, data management, and regulatory technology implications.
- Proven track record in digital transformation, innovation programs, and leading highperformance technology teams.
- Background in engineering, computer science, or information systems; advanced management degree preferred.
- Preferrred candidates from Private Equity, AMC or Wealth management background only.
