Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Life Sciences

The CTO will lead CIICs Life Sciences & BioE Hub , supporting the scaling of life science startups through technology guidance, regulatory support, fundraising assistance, and ecosystem building. The role also involves proposal development for CIIC and liaison with government, corporate, and academic stakeholders.

• Mentor and support life sciences startups in product development, validation, and scale-up.
• Guide startups on regulatory pathways and compliance (DBT, BIRAC, CDSCO, FSSAI, ISO, FDA/CE as applicable).
• Support fundraising, grant applications, pitch decks, and technical proposals for startups and CIIC.
• Lead proposal writing for CIIC (government, CSR, and institutional funding).
• Identify, evaluate, and nurture new life sciences startups under CIICs BioE Hub.
• Liaise with government bodies, corporates, investors, research institutions, and universities .
• Work closely with the CEO on strategy, partnerships, and ecosystem growth .

• Masters / PhD in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical, Pharma, or related fields .
• 56 years of experience in a life sciences company, startup, or innovation ecosystem.
• Strong exposure to regulatory processes, product commercialization, and proposal writing .
• Experience with startup incubation, grants (DBT/BIRAC), or CSR-funded projects preferred.
