About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly disciplined Chief Security Officer to lead and oversee the overall safety, security, and transport operations of a reputed hospital in Chennai. The role demands a seasoned professional with strong leadership capability, operational control, and government liaison experience.
This position requires strategic oversight combined with hands-on supervision of security systems and personnel to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Security Operations & Administration
- Take full responsibility for overall hospital safety and security management.
- Lead and manage a team of approximately 150+ security personnel.
- Develop and implement security policies, SOPs, and deployment strategies.
- Conduct regular inspections and surprise checks across all facilities.
Surveillance & Risk Control
- Oversee CCTV monitoring systems and access control mechanisms.
- Ensure incident response protocols are in place and executed effectively.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend preventive security measures.
- Maintain high standards of vigilance and emergency preparedness.
Liaison & Compliance
- Liaise with local government authorities, police, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with statutory safety and security norms.
- Represent the security department in disciplinary committee proceedings.
Transport & Facility Oversight
- Supervise transport department operations and fleet discipline.
- Ensure secure and efficient movement within hospital premises.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 2530 years of experience in security management, preferably in hospitals, large institutions, or similar establishments.
- Proven experience handling large teams (100+ personnel).
- Strong knowledge of surveillance systems, access control, and physical security frameworks.
- Experience coordinating with law enforcement and government authorities.
- Background in Defence / Paramilitary / Senior Security Leadership roles preferred.
