Job Summary:

The Chief Procurement Officer will lead and strengthen the organizations end-to-end procurement function, driving strategic sourcing, vendor development, cost optimization, and supply risk management to support large-scale manufacturing operations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute long-term procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with business growth plans.
• Lead raw material, capital equipment, and industrial procurement for large-scale manufacturing operations.
• Negotiate high-value techno-commercial contracts and manage strategic supplier relationships.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives, value engineering, and annual procurement budgeting.
• Ensure uninterrupted supply through effective demand planning and risk mitigation strategies.
• Strengthen procurement governance, compliance standards, and ERP-based procurement
• systems.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing procurement team across functions.
• Must have handled procurement in an organization with INR 15002000 Crores annual turnover.

Skills Required:

• Strong strategic sourcing and category management expertise.
• Advanced techno-commercial negotiation and contract management capabilities.
• Deep understanding of industrial/raw material procurement and supply chain dynamics.
• Financial acumen with strong cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
• Exposure to ERP systems and digital procurement transformation initiatives.
• Strong vendor development and performance management expertise.
• Leadership capability to manage large cross-functional teams.
• High level of integrity, decision-making ability, and stakeholder management skills.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial / Metallurgical or related discipline).
• MBA in Supply Chain Management / Operations / Finance preferred.
• Professional certifications in Supply Chain or Procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) will be an added advantage.
