The Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional Chief Operating Officer (COO) to serve as Zyeta's operational backbone and strategic execution partner. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives on building systems, scaling operations, and delivering excellence across complex, multi-geography environments.

You will lead end-to-end operations across India (Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Delhi, Mumbai, Gurgoan, and other cities that zyeta might expand into) while overseeing critical international projects in Singapore, Manila, and Taipei. Your mandate: bring rhythm, foresight, and predictability to a fast-growing operation while maintaining uncompromising standards in quality, profitability, and client delight.

This role demands a task master, team player, and problem solver someone who brings structure to complexity, builds high-performing teams, and operates with both strategic vision and hands-on execution.

What You'll Do

Operational Leadership & Governance

• Own end-to-end operations across all Indian cities while ensuring global operational standards and consistency across Singapore, Manila, and Taipei
• Drive on-time, on-budget, high-quality project delivery through structured planning, governance frameworks, and data-driven decision-making
• Build operational rhythm through weekly city reviews, real-time performance dashboards, and milestone-based monitoring systems
• Conduct operational audits and performance evaluations to identify risks early and implement corrective actions proactively
• Personally oversee strategic or complex international projects to ensure consistency in standards, systems, and outcomes

Planning, Forecasting & Agile Execution

• Implement modern project management methodologies sprints, kanban, collaborative dashboards to drive agility and transparency across all operations
• Build advanced planning and forecasting systems to anticipate manpower, materials, vendor, and cash flow requirements 90-180 days ahead
• Enable seamless coordination between design, procurement, project management, and finance through integrated workflows and real-time visibility
• Establish KPI-driven dashboards tracking timelines, risks, margins, resource utilization, and quality metrics across all active projects
• Create a culture of proactive problem-solving where teams anticipate challenges and act early rather than react late

Procurement & Supply Chain Excellence

• Partner with procurement to build a robust, scalable vendor ecosystem across major Indian cities with tier-1 backup vendors
• Align procurement strategies with execution timelines to ensure material readiness and eliminate project delays
• Drive continuous improvement in sourcing, quality assurance, and vendor onboarding to optimize cost, speed, and reliability
• Maintain financial discipline through ongoing cost optimization, supplier performance reviews, and payment term negotiations

Process Innovation & Delivery Excellence

• Continuously evaluate and refine workflows to eliminate inefficiencies and improve speed, coordination, and accuracy
• Introduce process automation, AI-enabled reporting, and digital operational systems for greater agility and scalability
• Champion a culture of innovation and out-of-the-box thinking across operational functions
• Drive consistency, standardization, and scalability in delivery processes across multiple geographies

Stakeholder & Partner Management

• Serve as the central liaison between internal teams, clients, PMCs, builder partners, and external consultants
• Build long-term, trust-based relationships with stakeholders through transparency, clear commitments, and consistent delivery
• Lead client and partner meetings with professionalism, accountability, and solution-oriented thinking
• Represent Zyeta's operational strength and reliability in all external forums and industry events

People Leadership & Culture Building

• Build, mentor, and scale multi-functional teams (operations, design, procurement, project management) capable of autonomous execution
• Foster a culture of clarity, presence, and ownership where leaders lead from the front and teams operate with high accountability
• Develop emotional intelligence and understanding of human behavior across teams to build trust, psychological safety, and collaboration
• Recognize and reward high performance, drive continuous learning, and inspire ambition across all levels

Strategic Scale & Growth

• Translate Zyeta's business goals into a scalable operational strategy that enables national and international expansion
• Build robust planning, forecasting, and resource allocation systems to support city expansion and increased project volume
• Establish frameworks for speed, reliability, and repeatable success that can be deployed across new geographies
• Drive innovation in project management, cost control, and delivery excellence to establish Zyeta as the operational leader in the workspace industry

Who You Are

• A proven operator: 15-20+ years of operational and leadership experience in real estate, design-build, construction, or large-scale project-driven industries
• Multi-city operator: Demonstrated success leading and scaling operations across multiple cities in India with a track record of consistent delivery
• Modern methodologist: Deep expertise in agile project management, lean operations, and digital tools (sprints, kanban, dashboards, automation)
• Process-driven: Strong background in process improvement, operational governance, quality management, and financial control
• Strategic thinker: Ability to zoom out for big-picture strategy while staying hands-on with execution details when needed
• People leader: Exceptional communication, emotional intelligence, and ability to inspire, develop, and retain high-performing teams
• Problem solver: Natural bias toward action with a track record of navigating complexity, resolving ambiguity, and driving results
• High EQ & presence: Strong interpersonal skills with an understanding of human behavior, empathy, and the ability to build trust across diverse stakeholders
