Job Description

Role Overview

The Chief of Staff (CoS) to the CEO will act as a strategic partner, execution leader, and enterprise integrator , supporting the CEO in driving the organizations growth agenda, operational excellence, and strategic priorities.

This role is designed for a high-potential leader with strong commercial acumen, cross-functional exposure, and the ability to operate seamlessly between strategy formulation and execution . The CoS will play a pivotal role in enabling decision-making, driving critical initiatives, and building leadership alignment across Akumentis global operations.


Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & CEO Enablement

  • Partner closely with the CEO to define, prioritize, and execute strategic initiatives aligned to Akumentis short- and long-term growth objectives.
  • Prepare board-level presentations, strategic briefs, and business reviews , ensuring clarity, data-backed insights, and actionable recommendations.
  • Act as a thought partner to the CEO on market expansion, portfolio strategy, and organizational scaling.


2. Business Performance & P&L Governance

  • Track and drive business performance across P&L, budgets, and key financial metrics in partnership with Finance and Business Heads.
  • Support annual operating plans, budgeting cycles, and forecasting , ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Identify performance gaps and proactively drive course-correction initiatives .


3. Cross-Functional Execution & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead cross-functional, high-impact initiatives spanning Sales, Marketing, R&D, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and Supply Chain.
  • Act as a single point of coordination between the CEO and functional leaders, ensuring execution velocity and accountability.
  • Manage complex multi-stakeholder environments , including global teams, partners, and external advisors.


4. Growth & Market Expansion Initiatives

  • Support go-to-market strategy, commercialization plans, and new market entry initiatives across MENA, APAC, and other emerging markets.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing leadership to track revenue growth, product launches, and portfolio performance .
  • Evaluate inorganic growth opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances.


5. Operating Rhythm & Governance

  • Drive the CEOs operating cadence , including leadership meetings, reviews, and decision forums.
  • Ensure disciplined follow-through on key decisions, action items, and milestones .
  • Establish strong governance mechanisms for strategic and transformation programs.



Candidate Profile

Education

  • MBA / Post-Graduate qualification in Management, Finance, or Strategy from a reputed institution.

Experience

  • 8 -12 years of experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, CDMO, life sciences, or adjacent B2B industries .
  • Strong preference for candidates who started their career in Sales and later transitioned into Marketing, Strategy, or General Management roles.
  • Demonstrated exposure to P&L management, budgeting, and enterprise-level stakeholder engagement .
  • Experience working in high-growth, entrepreneurial, or transformation-led environments .
