Founded in 2019, we are a Jakarta-based fintech startup on a mission to digitize financial services for Indonesias micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Were building tools and products that enable millions of small businesses to thrive in a digital-first economy.
With a strong product-market fit in Indonesia, we are now gearing up to launch in new Southeast Asian markets, starting with the Philippines and were looking for someone exceptional to help us lead the charge.
Role Overview
The Chief of Staff / Founders Office role works directly with the CEO to drive strategy, planning, reviews, cross-functional program management, and new initiatives across markets, products, and the organization. We believe the winners of the future will be AI-native operating at a speed and lean headcount that was previously impossible. This role sits at the center of designing BukuWarungs Operating System and Information Architecture to enable faster and better execution and decision-making.
The role will be central to how the company sets priorities and delivers on them, with a focus on Marketing, Finance, and People.

Key Responsibilities
1. Designing the Company Operating System (Planning, Information Architecture & Reviews)
Strategy Sessions (2 & 5 Year Vision)
- Define the Why, What, and How of the companys path with Management and Leaders
- Own the structure and execution of these sessions
Bi-Annual Planning Sessions
- Ensure alignment on timelines and deliverables
- Hold leaders accountable for quality of outcomes
- Run planning efficiently and conduct feedback sessions to improve quality
- Identify interdependencies across business, product, and functions
- Call out risks of execution failure
Monthly Reviews
- Ensure priorities set during planning are being met
- Work with leaders before and after reviews to ensure expectations are met
Information Architecture
- Design and implement the organizations information architecture
- Ensure knowledge flows efficiently and leaders have the data needed for fast decision-making
- Build the documentation context layer across all functions to enable agents to operate effectively
Efficiency Metrics
- Establish and track company-wide benchmarks aligned with business goals
2. AI Adoption & Functional Gaps
AI-First Transition
- Drive AI adoption across every function in partnership with the CEO
- Apply first-principles problem-solving and escalation frameworks
- Conceptualize and implement the organizational agent framework
- Build and deploy AI agents to automate workflows
Identifying Gaps
- Partner with functional leads to identify process or cultural gaps
- Solve hard problems without clear ownership
- Maintain consistently high functional efficiency
Culture of Execution
- Foster high-velocity execution
- Diagnose decision-making or tooling bottlenecks
- Fix issues at the root level
3. Critical Projects & Success Metrics
Launch & Scale
- Own mission-critical projects such as new product launches, new market entry, or large-scale company changes
Success Measurement
- Time-to-Market
- Revenue per Employee
Cross-Functional Unblocking
- Identify cross-dependencies early
- Drive alignment among leaders
- Ensure committed deadlines are met
4. People, Talent & Culture
High-Stakes Hiring
- Go deep in hiring leadership and key roles
- Ensure the right talent is hired for the next growth phase
Org Design
- Partner with the CEO on org design and sequencing of big bets
- Examples include product localization for new markets or research and risk modeling for expansion
High-Intent & Performance Culture
- Build strong feedback loops
- Drive high-intent behaviors that lead to high-performance outcomes
The Way Forward
This is an 1824 month path to a Tier 1 leadership position. A successful candidate will either:
- Take on a Business or Functional Head role at BukuWarung
- Go on to build their own venture using the skills gained in the role
Qualifications
Must-Have
- 59 years in Founders Office, Strategy, or BizOps at a fast-paced tech startup or top-tier management consulting
- Proven ability to own complex, cross-functional (Tech + Business) programs end-to-end
- Strong first-principles thinking and ability to evaluate second and third-order consequences
- Highly concise written and verbal communication skills
- High ownership and attention to detail without over-engineering
Nice-to-Have
- Experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams
- Familiarity with product development and agile practices
- Experience with internal tools, CRMs, planning or knowledge systems, including AI-powered workflows
