Job Description

Role Title: Chief Manager Financial Reporting

Function: Finance & Accounts

Reporting To: Vice President F&A (Direct & Administrative)

I. Purpose of the Role:

The Chief Manager Financial Reporting is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting, implementing robust accounting controls, and supporting strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis. The role drives process improvements, manages statutory and regulatory compliance, and serves as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders.

II. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting

Analyze and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per Ind AS.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory disclosure requirements.

Ensure financials are prepared in line with organizational policies and statutory guidelines.

Maintain financial accessibility and perform balance sheet substantiation & periodic GL scrutiny.

Prepare Audit Committee and Board notes/presentations.

Analyze variances, identify reasons, and provide commentary for results.

Monitor patterns in revenue and expenditure reporting and implement controls.

Validate completeness and correctness of system-generated reports.

Undertake automation and streamlining projects for financial reporting.

Provide data support for investor/analyst communications.

  1. Accounting Schema

Frame, document, and maintain accounting schema.

Prepare Accounting Manual.

Perform general ledger accounting, analysis, and reconciliations.

3- Audit and Inspection

Ensure timely submission of audit and inspection requirements.

Attend and resolve audit queries to achieve clean audit reports.

Liaise with internal audit, regulators, and ensure timely data submissions.

Ensure compliance with internal financial controls.

  1. Stakeholder Management

Liaise with internal stakeholders across Finance, Technology, ERM, Listing & Membership, and external auditors/consultants as required.

5 .Control & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with internal controls and risk management from a financial reporting perspective.

6 .Process Development

Identify opportunities and implement improvements in financial reporting processes.

7 .Team Management

None (individual contributor role).

Note: Additional responsibilities may be added based on organizational requirements.


VI. Role Holder Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

  • Essential: Chartered Accountant
  • Desired: Chartered Accountant

Role Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience in financial reporting.
  • Robust accounting knowledge (Ind AS).
  • Knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements (e.g., Companies Act, LODR).
  • Awareness of financial markets and capital markets operations.
  • Strong analytical skills, Excel expertise, and presentation skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience:

  • Essential: Above 10 years in financial reporting and accounting roles.
  • Desired: 1012 years experience in financial reporting.
