Recruitment Mantra Hiring Global Head of Human Resources for Expat Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata
The Global Head of Human Resources will shape and drive the organizations global people agenda, ensuring alignment with business strategy across all regions. This leadership role will set direction, governance, and oversight for all HR functions worldwide, while partnering with local HR teams for effective country-level execution.
The role focuses on building standardized, compliant, and scalable HR systems globally, with adaptability for local legal, cultural, and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Global HR Strategy & Leadership
Formulate and execute a unified global HR strategy aligned with long-term business objectives. Establish policies, frameworks, and governance models while advising senior leadership on workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
Lead global workforce planning, recruitment strategies, and employer branding. Oversee cross-border hiring, global mobility, and expatriate programs in collaboration with regional HR teams.
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Governance
Design global compensation and benefits philosophies ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness. Govern payroll standards and vendor management, supporting localized implementation.
Performance, Rewards & Talent Management
Implement global performance management systems, incentive plans, succession planning, and high-potential talent identification across geographies.
Learning, Development & Leadership Growth
Drive global learning, leadership development, and capability-building initiatives. Establish competency frameworks, career paths, and talent pipelines aligned with future business needs.
Employee Engagement & Relations
Develop global engagement strategies, culture initiatives, and DEI frameworks. Support local HR teams in employee relations, grievance management, and compliance.
Compliance, Risk & Employment Law
Ensure adherence to global and local labor laws, data privacy regulations, and ethical standards. Lead HR audits, risk management, and compliance governance.
Global Mobility & Immigration
Define and oversee expatriate policies, international assignments, immigration processes, and relocation programs with cost and compliance control.
HR Operations & Technology
Standardize HR processes, shared services, and documentation. Own HR technology strategy including HRIS, ATS, and LMS, and manage HR vendors globally.
Change Management & Organizational Development
Lead change initiatives including restructuring, M&A integration, and organizational transformation in partnership with local HR teams.
HR Analytics & Reporting
Establish global HR metrics, dashboards, and workforce analytics to enable data-driven leadership decisions.
Operating Model
Global HR acts as the strategic and governance center, while country HR teams manage local execution. The Global Head of HR ensures alignment, oversight, and escalation across regions.
Skills & Competencies
- Proven global HR leadership and strategic mindset
- Strong expertise in governance, policy design, and compliance
- Experience managing multi-country HR operations
- Excellent stakeholder management and change leadership skills
- Data-driven and analytical approach
Experience & Qualifications
- 1218+ years of progressive HR experience with global exposure
- Demonstrated leadership across multiple geographies
- Strong background in talent management, compensation, and OD
- Bachelors degree in HR/Business (Masters preferred)
- Relevant HR certifications are an advantage
