Position Overview

The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) will lead the HR strategy and people operations across all companies under the Arul Group. The CHRO will be responsible for developing organizational capability, strengthening talent management processes, improving HR systems, and ensuring a high-performance culture that aligns with business goals.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, excellent stakeholder management, and deep experience across manufacturing, construction, and design-led industries.


Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic HR Leadership

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the groups long-term business goals.
  • Provide strategic counsel to the Board and top leadership on organization structure, workforce planning, and talent strategy.
  • Drive culture-building initiatives to unify all companies under the Arul Group brand.

2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment for all verticals (Rubbers, Polymers, EPC/Construction, Design Studio).
  • Build a strong Talent Acquisition function with focus on quality hiring, process consistency, and employer branding.
  • Plan manpower budgets, workforce projections, and succession planning for key leadership roles.

3. Performance Management

  • Strengthen KRAs, KPIs, and PMS frameworks across junior, mid, and senior levels.
  • Ensure transparent, timely, and structured performance appraisals.
  • Implement capability-building programs based on performance gaps.

4. Learning & Development

  • Create group-wide L&D roadmap focused on leadership development, technical training, and soft skills.
  • Drive continuous learning culture and training audits across companies.

5. Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Maintain a positive employee relations environment across factories, sites, and corporate offices.
  • Ensure statutory compliance: labor laws, factory rules, safety norms, ISO requirements, and audit readiness.
  • Lead disciplinary processes, grievance redressal, and employee welfare programs.

6. Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations

  • Direct salary structures, compensation benchmarking, and annual CTC reviews.
  • Oversee payroll accuracy, HRMS implementation, HR policies, and SOP standardization.
  • Develop clear policies for attendance, leave, travel, insurance, reimbursements, and onboarding.

7. Organizational Development

  • Lead change management initiatives for growth, digital transformation, and new business expansions.
  • Build leadership pipelines and succession plans for critical positions across divisions.
  • Improve internal communication, engagement, and retention processes.

8. HR Systems, Data & Analytics

  • Strengthen HR dashboards and MIS for real-time insights across all departments.
  • Implement HR automation tools for recruitment, performance, and workforce management.
  • Ensure data-driven decision-making for all HR verticals.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Masters Degree in Human Resources / MBA HR / MSW HRM
  • 1520+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
  • Experience managing HR in manufacturing + construction/EPC sectors preferred
  • Proven experience in multi-company or multi-location HR leadership
  • Strong exposure to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and audit frameworks


Work Location

Hosur / Bangalore + Travel to factory, sites, and regional offices as required.
