Role Description

This contract-based on-site role is located in Surat. As Chief Engineer MEO Class II RORO vessel at KNK Ship Management, you will oversee the engineering department and be responsible for the technical operations and maintenance of the vessel. Key responsibilities include supervising technical staff, monitoring engine performance, managing fuel and consumables, conducting periodic inspections, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols. You will also coordinate repairs, maintain operational efficiency, and generate detailed reports on vessel performance and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of marine engineering, machinery maintenance, and engine performance analysis
• Proficiency in technical troubleshooting, repairs, and managing maintenance schedules
• Familiarity with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and reporting requirements in the maritime industry
• Experience in leadership, team supervision, and effective communication
• Relevant certifications and licenses required by maritime regulatory authorities
• Ability to work in challenging on-site conditions and maintain operational efficiency
• Experience with tugboat or dredging operations will be an advantage
