About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to lead commercial governance across our manufacturing business. This role is not a sales position . It is a senior, analytically driven role focused on margin protection, pricing discipline, inventory optimization, and working capital efficiency .
The CCO will work closely with the CFO and partner cross-functionally with Sales, Sourcing, Inventory Planning, Finance, and Operations to drive sustainable profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Margin Management
- Own gross margin analysis and forecasting by product, customer, and channel
- Track budget vs actual margin performance and drive corrective actions
- Establish margin benchmarks and governance frameworks
- Identify and prevent price leakage and margin erosion
Pricing Strategy & Governance
- Lead product pricing strategy supported by strong analytics and logic
- Implement pricing discipline, discount controls, and approval mechanisms
- Govern pricing exceptions across channels and customers
Inventory & Working Capital
- Own inventory valuation, aging, provisioning, and SOR turns
- Monitor and manage slow-moving, non-moving, and dead stock
- Drive action plans to improve inventory velocity
- Support working capital optimization initiatives
Analytics & Reporting
- Develop and manage weekly CFO dashboards covering margin, pricing, inventory, and working capital
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Act as a commercial business partner to Sales, Sourcing, Inventory Planning, Finance, and Operations
- Strengthen finance and operations coordination
- Support product and commercial strategy with profitability-led insights
Required Experience & Skills
- 1015+ years of experience in commercial finance, pricing, or profitability-focused roles
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or vertically integrated business is essential
- Strong expertise in:
- Margin analysis & forecasting
- Inventory valuation & provisioning
- Pricing governance & discount control
- Working capital optimization
- Advanced analytical capabilities (Excel, BI tools, ERP systems)
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills
Reporting Structure
- Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
- Key stakeholders: Sales, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Inventory Planning, Finance, Operations
