Job Description

We are partnering with a fast-scaling, investor-backed startup that is building a category-defining business in its space. As part of its next phase of growth, the company is looking to appoint a Chief Business Officer (CBO) to drive revenue acceleration, market expansion, and enterprise-scale execution.

This is a P&L leadership role with direct ownership of commercial strategy, revenue growth, and business scalability.

The Mandate

  • Own and drive end-to-end revenue strategy across sales, partnerships, growth, and new market expansion
  • Build scalable go-to-market (GTM) architecture across geographies and segments
  • Establish high-performance sales and business development teams
  • Lead pricing strategy, monetization models, and margin optimization
  • Identify and execute strategic partnerships, alliances, and enterprise deals
  • Drive fundraising narratives alongside founders and investors
  • Translate product capability into commercial success
  • Build dashboards, forecasting discipline, and performance metrics
  • Develop expansion strategy (new verticals / new geographies)
  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board

What Were Looking For

  • 15+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience
  • Proven track record of scaling revenue from early-stage to growth stage
  • Strong exposure to startups / high-growth environments
  • Experience leading P&L and managing large revenue targets
  • Deep expertise in sales strategy, partnerships, and GTM execution
  • Strong financial acumen and data-driven decision making
  • Experience working with investors / fundraising preferred
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
