Job Description

Chief Business Officer (CBO)

Leads sales, marketing, distribution, investor engagement and digital initiatives to drive growth and client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • - Develop and execute business growth strategy.
  • - Oversee marketing and sales teams.
  • - Drive digital initiatives and client lifecycle management.
  • - Collaborate with product and investment teams on go-to-market.

Requirements:

  • - MBA or equivalent in Business/Finance.
  • - 15+ years in AMC or investment industry leadership.
  • - Experience scaling businesses and partnerships.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • - AUM growth rate.
  • - Client retention and satisfaction (NPS).
  • - Channel partner expansion.
  • - Marketing ROI and digital conversion.

Reporting Line:

Additional Responsibilities

  • Govern business risks, including distribution and misselling.
  • Identify and escalate early warning signals and fraud in sales.
  • Provide input to RO/CEO on distribution risk metrics and appetite.
  • Update and test risk registers for sales/marketing-related controls.
  • Report mis-selling cases, negative inspection remarks, and investor suitability breaches.
  • Govern distribution risks, detect mis-selling, and analyze investor portfolio risk appetite.
  • Perform periodic RCSA testing, track escalation of frauds, and ensure risk reports are shared with CEO.
