Chemical Engineer – Designer (LLIN / Insecticide Technology)

We are seeking a Chemical Engineer Process & Plant Designer with strong experience in LLIN (Long-Lasting Insecticidal Nets), mosquito net manufacturing, and insecticide formulation/process technology.

The candidate will be responsible for process conceptualisation, plant design, detailed engineering, utilities planning, and commissioning support.

• Lead process conceptualisation and feasibility assessment for LLIN / insecticide-treated product manufacturing.
• Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), P&ID, material balance, and plant layout planning.
• Design and optimise insecticide formulation, coating/impregnation systems, and curing processes.
• Plan plant utilities, including steam, compressed air, water systems, effluent treatment, and waste management integration.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, and Instrumentation teams for integrated plant engineering.
• Support vendor evaluation, machine selection, and technical comparison (apple-to-apple evaluation model).
• Prepare technical specifications, BOQ, and tender documentation.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in installation supervision, commissioning, and production stabilisation.
• Support SOP development, operational training, and process optimisation post-commissioning.

• Experience: Minimum 58 years in LLIN / mosquito net / insecticide-treated product manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of chemical process design, polymer/textile chemical application, and insecticide dosing technology.
• Experience in plant setup, detailed engineering, and utilities integration.
• Knowledge of safety systems, environmental compliance, and process risk assessment.
• Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

• B.Tech / BE in Chemical Engineering (Mandatory)
• Exposure to polymer/textile chemical engineering or pesticide formulation preferred.

• Experience in turnkey or greenfield project environments.
• Knowledge of HACCP / HAZOP / process risk tools is an advantage.
• Strong documentation, reporting, and technical communication skills.
