Checker Precast (Civil)

Key Responsibilities

• Review and check precast shop drawings, erection drawings, and piece tickets prepared for US precast projects.
• Verify reinforcement detailing, embeds, lifting anchors, connection hardware, and dimensions.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, structural design drawings, and architectural drawings.
• Check compliance with PCI standards, ACI codes, and US precast detailing practices.
• Review Tekla models or AutoCAD drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify clashes, missing information, or constructability issues.
• Ensure correct mark numbering, panel layout, and piece identification.
• Review connection details, hardware placement, and weld plates.
• Validate erection sequences and erection drawings.
• Provide clear comments and corrections to detailers.
• Coordinate with Project managers and client when required.
• Ensure quality control standards are followed before drawing submission.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of precast concrete detailing for the US market.
• Experience in shop drawing checking and quality control.
• Proficiency in:
• Tekla Structures
• AutoCAD
• Bluebeam / PDF markup tools
• Knowledge of:
• PCI Design Handbook
• ACI standards
• US precast connection practices
• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
• Strong understanding of:
• Reinforcement detailing
• Embed plates and hardware
• Lifting anchors
• Erection drawings
• Good communication and coordination skills.
