Chassis Structural Engineer

you’ll be based at: IBC Knowledge Park, Bengaluru

What you’ll do at Ather:

• Design and Develop structural parts and systems like frame, swing arm, side stand, Main stand, Footrests, Grab handle, Handlebar etc.

• Ensure quality, deliverables, cost, and timing of the parts

• Work with Cross functional teams including Simulations, Program, Production,Testing, Manufacturing Engineering etc. on development of Structural parts

• Develop the Simulation and Testing DVPs with respective teams for Structural parts

• Interpreting the outcomes of Testing and Simulations for improvement in designs

• Develop DFMEA aligned with DVPs for the structural parts

• Highlight the risks and prepare the mitigation plan on design projects/tasks 

• Manage Engineering BOM 

• Develop and update the Design Standard documents

• Document the lessons learnt and manage the knowledge base

Here’s what we are looking for: 

• Experience working on 2 to 5 structure system design

• Knowledge of DFA, DFM, DFS, DFR etc.

• An understanding of the interaction of structures with other integration parts

• High proficiency in Solidworks /CATIA

• Knowledge of DFMEA approach to product development

• Engineering Materials and their applications

• Knowledge of GD&T, Stack, Tolerance and Fit analysis 

• Knowledge of DFSS (preferred)

• Exposure to Python will be an advantage

You bring to Ather:

• Bachelors/Masters in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or any other equivalent degree

• 2 to 6 years of experience in automotive structures design and development
