Chartered Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Fresher Chartered Accountant to join our US Tax & US Accounting team in Bhopal. The role provides hands-on exposure to US accounting, bookkeeping, and taxation for US-based clients, with structured training and career growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

US Accounting

• Maintain books of accounts for US clients using QuickBooks / Xero / NetSuite
• Record journal entries and support month-end close activities
• Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist in preparation of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP requirements

US Taxation

• Assist in preparation of US federal and state tax returns, including:
• Individual returns (Form 1040)
• Business returns (Forms 1065, 1120, 1120S)
• Support preparation of payroll tax, sales tax, and information returns
• Assist with tax extensions, estimated taxes, and compliance deadlines
• Conduct basic tax research under guidance

Other Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior team members and onshore US clients
• Maintain proper documentation and workpapers
• Ensure timely completion of assignments with high quality
• Stay updated with US tax laws and accounting standards

Skills & Competencies

• Strong foundation in accounting and finance
• Basic understanding of US taxation and US GAAP (training provided)
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to work in US shift timings , if required

Preferred Skills

• Articleship exposure to US accounting or taxation
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks / Xero
• Interest in pursuing CPA (US) or EA
