Chartered Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Fresher Chartered Accountant to join our Canada & US Accounting and Tax team. The role offers exposure to bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax compliance for Canadian and US clients , with structured training and long-term career growth in international accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Canadian Accounting & Tax

• Maintain books of accounts for Canadian clients using QuickBooks / Xero
• Assist in preparation of financial statements in compliance with ASPE / IFRS
• Support preparation of Canadian tax returns, including:
• Personal returns (T1)
• Corporate returns (T2)
• Assist with GST/HST , payroll deductions, and compliance filings
• Support year-end working papers and audit support

US Accounting & Tax

• Maintain bookkeeping and accounting records for US clients
• Assist in preparation of financial statements as per US GAAP
• Support preparation of US tax returns, including:
• Individual (Form 1040)
• Business (Forms 1065, 1120, 1120S)
• Assist with sales tax, payroll tax, and information returns

Other Responsibilities

• Coordinate with senior accountants and onshore teams (Canada & US)
• Prepare reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to deadlines
• Continuously learn Canadian and US accounting and tax regulations

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals
• Basic understanding of Canadian and US accounting standards
• Working knowledge of MS Excel
• Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Willingness to work in overlapping North American time zones

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to international accounting during articleship
• Knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or similar tools
• Interest in pursuing CPA (Canada / US) or EA
