To support our growing team, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Chargeback Analyst (US based Hospitality Sector Clients) to join us in handling chargeback processes and ensuring smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chargeback Management: Investigate and resolve chargebacks related to credit card payments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Data Analysis: Analyze chargeback data, identify trends, and provide insights for reducing chargeback rates and improving dispute resolution processes.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of chargeback cases, including supporting documentation, communication with merchants, and resolution outcomes. Generate reports as needed for management and stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (such as fraud prevention, customer service, and finance) to resolve chargeback disputes in a timely manner.
- Compliance: Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and policies related to chargebacks and payment processing (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, and other payment networks).
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify and recommend improvements to reduce chargeback volumes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Client Communication: Communicate with clients and vendors regarding chargeback status, actions taken, and any necessary follow-up.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Chargeback Analyst or in a similar role (preferably 2-3 years), with hands-on knowledge of chargeback management and dispute resolution.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with chargeback rules and regulations (e.g., Visa, MasterCard, and other card network rules). Experience with payment processing systems is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in chargeback management software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze large volumes of data and identify patterns.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, ensuring accurate case documentation and resolution tracking.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
- Time Management: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
