Job Title: Chapter Lead- Senior Manager (AWS Cloud)

Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore

Business & Team: CTO- Cloud Foundations

Roles & responsibilities:

As Chapter Lead Senior Manager, you will lead a team of CL, Staff and Senior Engineers with 10-12 direct reports. You are the go-to for people leadership and will pave the way to nurture and further uplift our engineering skills and capabilities – in the public cloud space (AWS), Platform Engineering tuned with the DevSecOps model and have a hand in our upcoming GenAI capability boost.

  • Work closely with engineers and crew leads to translate product vision, strategy and roadmap into actionable tasks and be responsible for delivery outcomes
  • Be a key point of contact with Business Stakeholders and other internal product teams to continually deliver value from the product and drive towards our strategic ambition
  • Work with the team to define problems into user stories and solutions into business value
  • Participate in research and evaluate data to inform decision making embedding continuous learning and improvement
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, other product teams and Business Stakeholders to prioritize the backlog for the product that continuously delivers measurable value enabling the achievement of the business results
  • Contribute to all stages of the product process including problem/solution definition, design, prototyping, delivery and optimisation
  • Expert and enterprise experience in AWS Public cloud IaC, design patterns and operating behaviours of each: Rest API services, Containers services, Serverless application
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills and experience working in a matrix organisation structure, previous experience working under Spotify model or similar agile framework is highly desirable
  • You are passionate about keeping up to date with the latest technology
  • Set and define the product strategy, vision, goals and roadmap, aligned to Crew objectives and purpose, and engage with key stakeholders to manage technical delivery.

 

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Leadership role
  • Deep understanding of AWS cloud landscape
  • An interest in technical product challenges
  • An obsession of solving customer problems, you love actively seeking out customers to understand their problems 
  • A curious mindset that drives you to ask and answer the ‘why’
  • Experience with iterative (agile) and/or lean design and development
  • Set and define the product strategy, vision, goals and roadmap, aligned to Crew objectives and purpose, and engage with key stakeholders to manage technical delivery.
  • Define the technology / architecture roadmap underpinning the product, aligned to Crew Tech Lead objectives, minimising tech debt and promoting the fast flow of value.
  • Actively explore technology improvements and prioritise the work that accelerates the future flow of value
  • Developing new tools and cloud (AWS / Azure) services to be integrated across the bank
  • Solid experience working in a build and execution capacity
  • Ability to influence senior leaders such as EM/GM level regarding the technology roadmap for Network technologies
  • Driving automation through understanding processes and implementing improvements
  • Strong presentation, verbal communication, and written communications skills
  • Presenting your work to peers in your immediate team and to engineers, scientists, and managers across the broader Systems Engineering community
  • Expert experience of programming in languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar
  • Hands-on experience with automating cloud native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure via code
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices with specific focus on the following concepts: source control, CI/CD, automated testing, logging and monitoring

 Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
