Job Description
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in SRE, Platform Engineering, Performance/Resilience QA, or similar roles.
- Strong hands-on with Kubernetes (workloads, networking, storage, RBAC, admission controllers).
- Deep experience with Istio:
- VirtualService, DestinationRule, Gateway, Envoy filters (as needed).
- Traffic management (retries, timeouts, circuit breaking, outlier detection).
- Fault injection and routing for canary/shadowing/blue-green.
- Security (mTLS, PeerAuthentication, AuthorizationPolicy).
- Proven chaos engineering experience using Gremlin and/or Chaos Mesh.
- Proficient with aspir8 for local stack deployments (or readiness to ramp quickly) and Helm/Kustomize.
- Strong observability skills: Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, logs/metrics/traces correlation.
- Solid Linux, container networking, and service mesh fundamentals.
- Scripting/automation with bash, Python, or Go; CI/CD pipeline exposure (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI/Jenkins).
