Channel Head Private Banking & Wealth (Mumbai)


Location: Mumbai

Reporting To: Zonal Head -West

Experience: 1012 years in Mutual Fund / PMS / AIF sales handling Private Banking & Wealth Channel


Role Overview

Lead and scale Helios Mutual Funds business across Private Banking, National Wealth, and Family Office segments. The role demands strong relationships with key private banks, ND-RNs, and top wealth partners, coupled with strategic thinking to drive AUM growth, product penetration, and differentiated positioning of Helios across the affluent and HNI ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities


  • Strategic Ownership: Build and execute the channel strategy for Private Banks & National Wealth partners to achieve defined AUM, SIP, and market-share targets.
  • Relationship Management: Strengthen strategic partnerships with CXO-level stakeholders across leading private banks, wealth firms, and family offices.
  • Distribution Expansion: Onboard and activate key national wealth platforms and RMs across metros, ensuring high wallet share in model portfolios and internal recommendations.
  • Product Positioning: Deeply engage with Business Head, product teams, and analysts to position Helios products across equity, hybrid, and alternate categories.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the Private Banking & Wealth sales team, setting clear activity, coverage, and conversion metrics.
  • Campaign & Activation: Design differentiated engagement initiatives
  • Data-Driven Planning: Use CRM and analytics to track partner performance, product flows, and activation funnel; refine strategies accordingly.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise with Marketing, Product, Research, and Operations for seamless execution and partner servicing.

    • Deep understanding of Private Banking & Wealth distribution landscape in India
    • Strong network across top wealth firms, banks, and product heads
    • Proven track record of scaling MF / PMS / AIF sales through relationship-driven approach
    • Strategic mindset with execution discipline
    • Excellent presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills.


    Ideal Background

    • MBA / Post-Graduate in Finance or related discipline
    • AMFI Certified, 21A Certified
    • 10+ years in MF/AMC/Wealth Management industry, with 5+ years managing private banking relationships
