Job Description

Responsible for translating each manufacturing process into the numerical and quanitative language that will serve as the basis of organizing, scheduling and accounting for those processes.


Primary Role and Responsibilities for Global Non-ECR activities

Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to, the following: as per Leader/Manager direction



  • Setup new Manufacturing Masters, Customer Programs, Shape Programs, and Program Iterations when required.
  • ECR Print Release -Link internal drawings to internal part numbers in Plex upon approval.
  • Releasing component parts to Production for supplied or sub-contracted approval (PSW).
  • Work on Equipment Change Move Form Requests
  • Set up New Equipment IDs, Work Centers
  • Set up Process Routings for adding/removing additional processes when required.
  • Create CAD Time Accounting Jobs for Time Tracking of ECR/RD
  • Work on Preliminary Part Number email requests for upcoming ECR/RD
  • Work on Raw Material email requests.
  • Additional Project Assignments



Regional Engineering Change Requests assignments


Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to, the following: as per the Leader/Manager direction to manage the Regional change requests workload.



  • Set up and maintain databases so that manufacturing and purchasing can be organized, scheduled and accounted for.
  • Maintain thorough understanding of the various manufacturing processes at Shape.
  • Identify machinery and tooling used for all manufacturing processes, organize it into the proper work centers/cells.
  • Partner with Program Managers through the process of completing project launches and engineering changes to ensure that all pertinent information is considered.
  • Reviewing each ECR for accuracy and working with the Program Teams to resolve issues.
  • Set up customer and internal part numbers.
  • Identify Part Types, (Purchased, Sub-Contracted, and Manufactured), and correlate to the Value Stream Map (VSM); including information about work center, process descriptions, etc.
  • Setup BOMs and Process Routings by reading and interpreting the VSM; which identifies the manufacturing process flow.
  • Good understanding of Multi-Out/Phantom process and BOM setup.
  • Enter part weight and material usage at Production Release.
  • Obsolete parts when required.
  • Manage regional sister ERs when required.

  • Diploma/ Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics & Telecommunication)
  • Manufacturing experience a plus but not required.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications and Plex ERP
