Role: Certified Enrolled Agent (EA) US Tax 1 Year Experience

Location: Pune (Work from Office)

Job Description in brief: The Enrolled Agent will prepare and review US individual and business tax returns and support tax compliance for Textax US clients. The role involves working with offshore and US teams, applying US tax laws correctly, and delivering accurate, on-time tax filings.

Educational Qualification:

- Bachelors degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance or related field.

- Certified Enrolled Agent (EA) with valid IRS registration.

Work Experience:

- Minimum 1 year of hands-on US tax preparation and compliance experience in a CPA firm / KPO / BPO / Global Compliance Center / Offshore Center.

- Experience with US individual (1040) and business returns (1120, 1120S, 1065, etc.) preferred.

Annual CTC: Maximum Annual CTC - 10.5LPA (fixed + variable).for 1 year of relevant US tax experienceand Max. 14 LPA per annum for candidates with at least 2 year of relevant US tax experience (fixed + variable)provided you fulfill the competencies

Must Have Competencies

Valid EA certification with practical US tax compliance experience.

Good working knowledge of US federal and basic state income tax rules.

Hands-on experience with US tax returns: 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065 and key schedules.

Ability to interpret tax regulations and apply them correctly in filings.

Prefer candidate swho are willing to travel, to US. Prefer to have candidates with valid US Visa

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Good written and verbal English for coordination with US teams.

Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with major US tax software (e.g., UltraTax, ProSeries, Lacerte, Drake, etc.).

Comfort with tight deadlines and extended hours during US tax season.

High standards of ethics, confidentiality, and data security.

Responsibilities

1. US Tax Return Preparation

Prepare US individual and business tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, etc.).

Validate client data, identify gaps, and raise concise queries.

2. Review & Quality

Review returns prepared by juniors (where applicable) and provide feedback.

Ensure returns and workpapers meet Textax US SOPs and quality benchmarks.

3. Compliance & Deadlines

Track and comply with extension and filing deadlines, including estimated payments.

Support workload planning and prioritization during busy season.

4. Client & Internal Coordination

Coordinate with team leads in India and tax managers in the US.

Clearly document positions, calculations, and assumptions.

5. Process & Data Security

Follow SOPs, checklists, and documentation requirements.

Adhere to data security, privacy, and confidentiality policies.

Ensure no company or client IP is shared with unauthorized parties.
