Position Title

Central Training & Placement Officer (CTO) / Head Central TPO

Reporting To

SDME Management / Governing Authority

Location & Work Mode

  • Work from Office 5 days a week
  • No Work From Home
  • Candidate may be required to work on certain weekends based on placement load, recruiter engagements, and TPO-related activities.

Compensation (CTC)

  • 20 LPA (market benchmark)
  • Compensation will not be a deterrent for the right and deserving candidate.

Role Purpose

The Central Training & Placement Officer (CTO) / Head Central TPO will lead, coordinate, and strengthen all training, internship, and placement activities across SDME institutions. The role is responsible for building a centralized, industry-aligned placement framework, ensuring consistency, scale, and quality of outcomes across regions, institutions, and academic disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Central Coordination & Governance

  • Establish and manage the Centralized SDME Placement Framework.
  • Act as the single-window interface for major recruiters and industry partners.
  • Frame group-level placement policies, calendars, SOPs, and operating guidelines.
  • Monitor, review, and improve placement performance across institutions.
  • Chair periodic placement review meetings and the annual SDME TPO Summit.

2. Industry & Corporate Engagement

  • Build and sustain long-term relationships with corporates, hospitals, and industry bodies.
  • Drive group-level MoUs, partnerships, and repeat hiring.
  • Expand recruiter footprint across multiple domains.
  • Represent SDME at industry forums, employer meets, and professional networks.

3. Regional & Domain Leadership

  • Guide and oversee Regional Heads of TPO and Domain Leads.
  • Ensure effective coordination across regions and disciplines.
  • Mentor institutional TPO teams and enable best practices.
  • Drive consistency in placement timelines, recruiter engagement, and student readiness.

4. Skill Development & Employability

  • Design and oversee group-level skill development initiatives, bootcamps, and certifications.
  • Align employability initiatives with industry demand and emerging job roles.
  • Promote early-stage student preparation (from 2nd / 3rd semester onwards).
  • Ensure focused employability strategies for:
  • Medical
  • AYUSH
  • Pharmacy
  • Allied Health Sciences

5. Branding, Outreach & Alumni Engagement

  • Strengthen SDMEs placement brand across digital platforms and employer networks.
  • Manage placement communication, success stories, and outcome visibility.
  • Enable structured alumni engagement for mentoring, referrals, and industry linkage.
  • Position SDME as a unified, multi-disciplinary education group.

6. Data, Analytics & Reporting

  • Establish and maintain centralized recruiter, alumni, and student databases.
  • Track placement metrics, trends, and outcomes across institutions and domains.
  • Prepare periodic dashboards and reports for senior management.
  • Use data insights to recommend improvements and corrective actions.

7. Financial Planning & Resource Management

  • Prepare placement-related budget proposals and utilization plans.
  • Optimize training, branding, and placement resources across institutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Postgraduate degree (MBA / Engineering / Healthcare / Management or equivalent).
  • 10+ years of experience in Training & Placement, Industry Relations, or Talent Acquisition.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale or multi-institution TPO operations.
  • Strong exposure to educational TPO ecosystems with solid corporate connections.
  • Background in working with large brands and structured recruiter networks is highly preferred.
