Role Description

TF&L is looking to hire qualified professionals who have completed their academic background in LLB / LLM to join the Client Service Syndicated Loans Mid Office within Trade Structured Finance in Corporate Bank.
 

We are looking for a candidate with experience of 9 to 12 years. The candidate should have experience in Syndicated Loan documentation to support end to end deal management activities, KYC compliance and to work on waiver requests and extensions. The role would suit an individual looking to develop product knowledge and business understanding by constantly coordinating with various stakeholders in a challenging, fast-paced environment, where the team and individual can make significant contribution for the global Corporate Bank - Trade Finance and Lending Business.

Your key responsibilities

• Provide legal support for the Syndicated Loans Mid Office team based in Luxembourg.
• Manage different aspects of loan documentation from initiation to closure of syndicated loans.
• Review draft loan agreements and understand the technical clauses.
• Initiation of NCA (new clients) and KYC-Validity Checks (existing clients)
• Review of waivers and amendments, extension, increase, accession agreements, pledge agreements, client's prepayment notices, release documentation and security release requests relating to syndicated deals
• Input collateral details into the loan platform after receipt of validation from CRM
• Input and process the commitment letters in loan, collateral, and limit reservations platform.

Your skills and experience

Technical Skills

• Academic background (LLB / LLM)
• Ability to read complex legal documents with confidence, ease and understanding
• Sound understanding of loan agreements, i.e. familiarity with legal language, LMA standards etc.
• Knowledge of tools such as Loan IQ, preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Proficiency in German language will be an added advantage

• Ability to forge strong relationships with onshore and internal teams
