Role Overview

We are looking for a Category Manager to own the end-to-end Home Grooming vertical - from daily operations, groomer management, service quality, and logistics to sales growth, repeat bookings, and area expansion.

This is a P&L + execution role.

Key Responsibilities - Operations Ownership

• Manage daily grooming bookings and service fulfillment
• Allocate groomers efficiently based on location, skill, and schedule
• Ensure on-time arrival and service quality at customer homes
• Handle escalations, reschedules, and service recovery
• Maintain grooming SOPs and hygiene standards
• Track groomer productivity, attendance, and performance

Groomer Management

• Onboard and train new groomers
• Monitor grooming quality via customer feedback, photos, and audits
• Create incentive plans for performance and upselling
• Reduce groomer idle time and cancellations

Sales & Growth

• Drive repeat bookings and package sales
• Identify high-demand areas and plan expansion
• Work with marketing team to improve conversion of leads
• Improve booking-to-service completion ratio
• Increase average order value via add-on services

Metrics & Reporting

• Own daily metrics: bookings, completion rate, revenue, repeat rate
• Track customer ratings and reduce complaints
• Maintain city/area-wise performance dashboards

What Were Looking For

• 3 to 6 years experience in operations + sales (service business preferred)
• Strong people management skills (field staff / technicians)
• Comfortable with fast problem solving and daily firefighting
• Data-driven and process-oriented
• Experience in hyperlocal services, grooming, salon, repair services, or similar is a plus
