The Role

We are hiring a Category Manager Travel Luggage to lead assortment direction, sourcing, pricing, and retail performance for the entire luggage portfolio.

You will own the category like a business unit with clear sales and margin accountability.

Scope & Responsibilities

Portfolio & Assortment Architecture

Define product mix across cabin, check-in, duffle, backpacks, and sets

Build range depth based on price tiers and travel needs

Plan seasonal and evergreen collections

Buying & Demand Planning

Forecast demand using store productivity and seasonality

Plan buy quantities and intake timing

Maintain healthy cover and replenishment cycles

Vendor & Product Development

Manage vendor selection, tooling, and costing negotiations

Oversee durability, functionality, and quality standards

Ensure on-time production and delivery

Performance Management

Track sales, margin, returns, and damages

Control markdowns and slow-moving stock

Optimize space productivity across channels

Channel Optimization

Define format-wise assortments

Support VM for impactful display

Monitor store productivity and trade weekly

Experience & Qualification

610 years in luggage/travel or hard goods retail

Vendor management and costing strength

Commercial and operational balance
