Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and data-driven Category Manager to lead and scale one or more product categories within our e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate should have strong commercial acumen, vendor management expertise, and a deep understanding of online merchandising, pricing strategy, and category growth.

This role requires someone who can drive revenue, improve margins, optimize assortment, and enhance customer experience through strategic planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end P&L responsibility for assigned categories
  • Develop and execute category growth strategy aligned with business goals
  • Drive revenue, margin expansion, and market share growth
  • Identify assortment gaps and onboard relevant brands/vendors
  • Lead vendor negotiations including pricing, trade margins, and promotional spends
  • Plan and execute promotional calendars, seasonal campaigns, and pricing strategies
  • Analyze key metrics such as GMV, conversion rate, AOV, sell-through, inventory turns
  • Collaborate with supply chain to ensure optimal inventory levels and reduce stockouts
  • Work closely with marketing, performance, and CRM teams to drive category visibility
  • Monitor competitor pricing, assortment, and promotional activities
  • Improve customer experience through better merchandising and content optimization
  • Drive private label or exclusive brand strategy (if applicable)

Preferred Background

  • 815 years of experience in Category Management
  • Prior experience in e-commerce, marketplace, or omnichannel retail
  • Experience handling large vendor portfolios
  • Exposure to fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • MBA preferred (but not mandatory)
