Job Description
The Category Head will own the end-to-end P&L of the assigned FMCG/Food category, driving growth through assortment planning, sourcing, pricing, demand forecasting, and cross-functional execution across sales, supply chain, marketing, and finance.
Key Responsibilities
Category Strategy & P&L Ownership
- Define and execute category growth strategy aligned with overall business objectives
- Own category P&L, margins, inventory turns, and working capital
- Identify white spaces, new product opportunities, and category expansion
Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Lead sourcing strategy including vendor identification, negotiations, and contracting
- Build strong relationships with manufacturers, brands, and suppliers
- Ensure optimal cost structures while maintaining quality and compliance
Assortment Planning & Pricing
- Curate the right product mix based on consumer demand, regional preferences, and channel needs
- Drive pricing strategy, promotions, and margin optimization
- Monitor competition and market trends to adjust assortment and pricing
10+ years of category/ commercial leadership experience in Quick Commerce, E-commerce, FMCG, Retail, or B2B distribution.
