The client is looking at hiring a Career Counsellor Medical Coding & Healthcare Careers for their team at Hyderabad.

The Career Counsellor Medical Coding & Healthcare Careers will guide students and professionals in understanding career opportunities in medical coding and the US healthcare domain. This role focuses on career assessment, pathway planning, certification guidance, and employability support, helping learners make informed decisions aligned with their educational background, skills, and long-term career goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide career counselling to prospective and enrolled students on opportunities in medical coding, medical billing, and healthcare RCM
• Assess candidates educational background, aptitude, and career goals to recommend suitable career pathways and training programs
• Educate learners about industry-recognized certifications such as CPC, CCS, ICD-10-CM/PCS, and HCPCS and their career impact
• Guide students through career transition planning, especially fresh graduates and non-healthcare professionals entering the healthcare domain
• Conduct career guidance sessions, webinars, workshops, and orientation programs
• Support students with certification planning, exam timelines, and career readiness milestones
• Collaborate with academic, training, and placement teams to align learning outcomes with industry requirements
• Advise students on resume preparation, interview skills, and employer expectations in the medical coding industry
• Track student progress and provide continuous mentoring until placement or certification completion
• Maintain accurate career counselling records using CRM/LMS tools
• Stay updated with healthcare industry trends, certification changes, and job market requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Psychology, Education, or a related field
• Knowledge of Medical Coding, Healthcare RCM, or US healthcare systems is highly preferred
• Career counselling or guidance certification is an advantage

Experience:

• 14 years of experience in career counselling, student advisory, or workforce development roles
• Prior experience in a healthcare training, medical coding institute, or ed-tech organization is preferred
