What would you do? We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive individual to join our Project Control Department as a Senior Project Planner. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and overseeing project plans, schedules, and resource allocations for our Clients Oil&Gas EPC Projects. Your strategic planning and coordination will ensure that projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget.
What are we looking for? Bachelors degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 8+ years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and resource management, within the engineering or construction sectors. Knowledge of the Oil&Gas Industry is a plus. Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Acumen or similar. Strong understanding of project management methodologies. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify project risks, issues, and inefficiencies and develop effective solutions. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels. Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on accuracy and quality in project planning and execution. Leadership capabilities to guide and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment. Proficiency in using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Power BI for project reporting and documentation. Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is a plus. Willingness to adapt to changing project requirements and industry dynamics. Willingness to travel as required to project sites, and client locations. Proficiency in written and spoken English. As a Senior Project Planner within our Project Management Office, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of our Clients EPC projects. Your expertise in project planning, resource management, and strategic coordination will contribute to the overall success and efficiency of our Project Services.
Roles and Responsibilities: Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules, including defining project scope, milestones, tasks, and deliverables. Collaborate with Clients project managers, stakeholders, and team members to gather project requirements and ensure alignment with project objectives. Monitor project progress and performance, identifying potential risks, issues, and deviations from the plan, and proposing corrective actions. Coordinate the Project Planning Team with onshore and offshore resources to ensure the correct and smooth execution of services in compliance with Clients requirements and contractual obligations. Allocate resources effectively, ensuring optimal utilization of team members and other project resources. Conduct regular project status meetings and provide timely updates to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, progress, and any changes to the project plan. Utilize Clients project management software and tools to track project schedules, resources, and progress, ensuring accurate and up-to-date project documentation. Analyze project data and metrics to generate insights and reports, supporting data-driven decision-making processes. Coordinate with onshore/offshore cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and alignment across different project phases and departments. Develop and maintain project documentation, including project charters, schedules, risk registers, and status reports. Drive risk management processes, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize project impacts. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process enhancement and implementing best practices in project planning and execution. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project planners and team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing project planning team. Stay updated on industry trends, project management methodologies, and emerging technologies to ensure the application of the latest best practices.
