What would you do? The Expeditor is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of all materials, equipment, and services required for capital projects. This role involves monitoring purchase orders, managing delivery schedules, resolving issues and maintaining effective communication with suppliers and project teams to ensure compliance with project requirements.
What are we looking for? Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is a plus, or High School Diploma in Technical and Scientific Disciplines as minimum requirement. Preferential experience in expediting or supply chain management, preferably within the engineering, technology, or energy sectors. Understanding of procurement and logistics processes. Experience with supply chain management software and tools. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Roles and Responsibilities: Track the progress of purchase orders from issuance to delivery. Regularly follow up with suppliers to obtain status updates on deliveries. Prepare expediting reports, check and comment Vendor Progress reports. Update internal stakeholders on order status and any potential delays. Keep ERP duly updated timely and with necessary details. Ensure suppliers adhere to agreed delivery schedules. Identify potential delays and work proactively with suppliers to mitigate these issues. Develop and implement expediting plans to meet project timelines. Act promptly to resolve issues that could cause delays, such as production or logistics problems of the supply Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to find alternative solutions to keep the project on track. Escalate critical issues to the Capital Project Expediting Coordinator first and Procurement Coordinator as necessary. Ensure that third-party inspections are notified within the due contractual advance time notice and completed on time checking with inspection dept the relevant outcome that all inspection documentation is accurately managed. Escalate promptly any issues on inspection results to the client and manage follow up Prepare and distribute regular reports on the status of orders and deliveries to management and other stakeholders. Ensure all documentation is compliant with project requirements and company policies checking it with relevant disciple owner/specialist. Work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and logistics to ensure that project needs are met. Provide regular updates on delivery status and any issues that may impact the project timeline. Participate in project meetings to provide insights and updates on expediting activities.
