Role Overview

We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Capex Planner to drive structured capital expenditure planning across infrastructure, technology, product development, and operational investments. This role is responsible for forecasting capital requirements, building long-term investment roadmaps, ensuring financial discipline, and optimizing capital allocation to support sustainable business growth.

As a Capex Planner, you will work cross-functionally with finance, procurement, engineering, operations, and leadership teams to evaluate, prioritize, and monitor capital investments. This role is ideal for someone who combines financial rigor with operational understanding and long-term strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities

Capital Planning and Forecasting

• Develop annual and multi-year capital expenditure plans
• Consolidate capital requirements across departments
• Build long-term infrastructure and investment roadmaps
• Support scenario planning and capacity modeling

Investment Evaluation

• Analyze capex proposals using NPV, IRR, payback period, and ROI frameworks
• Perform cost-benefit and sensitivity analysis
• Assess risk-adjusted return on capital investments
• Ensure alignment with organizational growth objectives

Budget Tracking and Governance

• Monitor approved capex against actual spend
• Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain capex approval workflows and documentation
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and audit requirements

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Collaborate with procurement for vendor cost validation and benchmarking
• Work with engineering and operations teams on project feasibility
• Support leadership in prioritizing high-impact investments
• Provide periodic capex dashboards and executive reports

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in capital planning, FP&A, or corporate finance
• Strong expertise in financial modeling and forecasting
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial planning tools
• Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and capital allocation
• Ability to translate business strategy into structured investment plans
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
