About the Role :

We are looking for experienced system engineer for enabling advanced camera capabilities for higher performance and quality on Mobile platforms. Candidate must be able to perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities consisting of planning, designing, developing and productization of camera systems solutions.

What You Will Do

Looking for Creative & passionate Developers who would like to Contribute for innovative & impactful Samsung devices
End to End Android Framework feature design, Development and Commercialization or Google framework/App working experience
Strong understanding of Android framework/Services, Android Architecture, operating system concepts, Linux multimedia framework (V4L2), Image formats, Buffer management   
Hands on experience with latest Android versions (Android U, Android T, V)
Strong in programming (Core Java/C/C++) and debugging skills
Object oriented programming in Java, Design Patterns, UML
Good understanding & usage of code versioning/IDE tools:P4, Git, Android Studio
Android Camera framework knowledge like launch, preview, capture, recording and all camera scenarios 

Excellent debugging skills including crash analysis, memory analysis, race conditions, memory corruption 

Active participation Design reviews, feature design & developments, Code reviews  
Added Advantage -  XR Application development experience/exposure 

Good communication and presentation skills
Additional Skill set Camera Technology Knowledge (Computation Photography, Vision & Image Processing)

What You Need to Be Successful

Excellent C/C++ skills with strong knowledge in data structures & algorithms.

 ·       Experience in Android Kernel, Camera HAL & Camera Framework development.

 ·       Experience in Linux Device driver / Kernel module development for camera sensors and camera peripherals such as Flash, Actuator, EPROM etc.

 ·       System engineering and Algorithm design for camera use cases in mobile phones.

 ·       Hands on development experience in Multi-threaded and multi-core environment.

 ·       Excellent debugging skills.

 ·       Use of Google Compliance Test suites & ensuring changes in Kernel, HAL & framework adhere to these compliances.

 ·       Leveraging ISP pipeline for real-time/offline processing.

 Bonus Points if You Have  

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Experience in camera App development
