Job Title: Equity Research Analyst (Buy-Side)

Location: Mumbai

We are seeking an experienced Equity Research Analyst to join a buy-side investment team focused on identifying high-quality investment opportunities in the Indian equity markets. The role involves conducting deep fundamental research, developing investment ideas, and supporting portfolio decisions within a research-driven investment environment.

Role Overview

The Equity Research Analyst will be responsible for end-to-end equity research across potential and existing investments. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, financial modeling skills, and the ability to generate differentiated investment ideas through detailed company and industry analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed fundamental analysis of listed companies across sectors.
• Develop investment theses supported by financial analysis, industry research, and management interactions.
• Build and maintain financial models and valuation frameworks to assess investment opportunities.
• Perform due diligence, including company meetings, channel checks, and industry interactions.
• Track and monitor portfolio companies, including earnings updates, key developments, and risk factors.
• Prepare research reports, investment notes, and presentations for internal investment discussions.

Candidate Profile

Experience

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in equity research within a buy-side or reputed sell-side institution.

Skills & Expertise

• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
• Ability to analyze companies and generate high-conviction investment ideas.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, business models, and industry dynamics.
• Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• MBA in Finance or equivalent from a reputed institution.
• CA / CFA / FRM / NISM certifications will be an added advantage.
