Job Description: Business Excellence Manager / Specialist

Department: Strategy & Transformation / Operations Excellence

Job Purpose

The Business Excellence professional will lead strategic initiatives to enhance

organizational efficiency, productivity, and quality. The role focuses on identifying,

analyzing, and improving core business processes to achieve operational excellence and

sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Process Analysis & Mapping

1. Conduct end-to-end analysis of existing business processes across departments.

2. Identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and improvement opportunities using data-driven

insights.

3. Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and workflow maps.

Process Improvement & Implementation

4. Design and implement process optimization initiatives aligned with organizational

strategy.

5. Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive measurable performance improvement.

6. Lead cross-functional Kaizen, DMAIC, and Value Stream Mapping projects.

7. Monitor post-implementation performance to ensure sustainability and compliance.

Project Execution

8. Manage multiple Business Excellence / Six Sigma projects simultaneously.

9. Develop project charters, define metrics (KPIs, SLAs), and track progress to ensure

timely delivery.

10. Collaborate with department heads and functional teams to ensure adoption of new

processes.

Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

11. Establish benchmarks and dashboards to track productivity, quality, and cost

efficiencies.

12. Conduct training workshops and capability-building sessions on Lean, Six Sigma, and

process thinking.

13. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational discipline across the

organization.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a data-driven mindset.


Proficiency in process mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart, or similar).

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong facilitation and change management capabilities.

High attention to detail and strategic execution orientation.

Qualification & Experience

Education: MBA (preferred) from a reputed institute.

Certification: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (mandatory); Green Belt / Lean Practitioner

experience desirable is MUST.

Experience: 510 years of experience in business process improvement, operations

excellence, or strategy implementation.

Proven track record of executing at least 35 Six Sigma Black Belt projects with measurable

impact.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Number and impact of process improvement initiatives executed.

% improvement in process efficiency, cycle time, or cost reduction.

ROI achieved from process optimization projects.

Adoption rate of improved processes and adherence to standards.
