Business Transformation Manager

About the Company

The Peerless group is going through a significant transformation journey, on the back of its 93-year heritage. Over the last 3 years of transformation, the group has turned around its project trajectory from -11% CAGR to +12% CAGR. During the same time, the hospital business has grown from 400 beds to 750 beds and is on track to grow to over 1000 beds shortly. The hotel business has doubled revenue over the last 3 years. The real estate business has launched the first integrated Residential-Commercial-Retail project in Kolkata in 2025. The transformation program is anchored by the Business Transformation and Corporate Strategy (BTCS) team housed in the Peerless Head Office in Kolkata. This is a high-intensity and high-calibre team working seamlessly with the corporate office as well as the subsidiary businesses.

About the Role

There is a need for a role in the above mentioned BTCS team with a role including but not limited to the following areas:

Responsibilities

• Conduct business performance analysis, with variance analysis and idea generation for improvements
• Work with business and HO teams to guide the business on implementation of improvement initiatives
• Track and monitor progress of business improvement initiatives with appropriate reporting
• Work on inorganic deals (buy or sell) in terms of deal structuring, financial evaluation, negotiations, process closure etc.
• Develop necessary presentations for management discussions
• Work on core business initiatives along with external consultants where appropriate

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of work experience
• An MBA or equivalent degree from a reputed institution

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in understanding and analysing financial statements (e.g., P&L, BS etc.)
• Experience in working on financial models
• A willingness to be proactive and work seamlessly with colleagues across group companies

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the hotels industry - this is a preferred requirement but not mandatory
